About DAMES of PA
DAMES of PA was founded in February, 2009 as a personally-owned & maintained, not-for-profit website. DAMES stands for Discover the Area’s Music & Entertainment Scene and the “PA” naturally stands for Pennsylvania. The site was put together by a few women who felt that there was (and is) a great amount of musical talent and entertainment within the state, much of which gets overlooked or ignored by other media outlets.
The site is currently owned by Brenda Brosius and Karyn Albano, who are the founders and primary editors of DAMES. The website was designed and is managed by 33 Dimensions Web Design.
